Charge 4 randomly stops working

More and more frequently over the last few months, my Charge 4 randomly stops working in the middle of the day, even though it has plenty of battery.

I'll notice that the calories burned/steps look very low, check and see that it hasn't synced in hours, and put it on the charger as soon as I am able. As soon as it's on the charger it starts syncing, but there is no data recorded from the intervening hours.

Has anyone else experienced this? What is causing it to keep shutting down? It's becoming useless as a tracker if I can't rely on it to track anything even when it's fully charged...

Yes, I've done these things. It starts working again as soon as it's back on the charger. The point is it's been doing this more and more frequently over the last several months.
