Charge 4 doesn't recognize activities

Hi,

I've got a charge 4 and while it used to be quite decent for recognising 'outdoor bike' and 'aerobics' and suchlike its become very sketchy and recording part or deciding its something different altogether. i'm wondering if its on the way out as it used to work quite well.

If anyones got any suggestions that would be great and save me some money on buying another if i dont really need to.

Many thanks in advance of any replies. x

Hello @ZHomf

I would start by restarting your Charge 4, ad see if that helps.

How do I restart my Fitbit device?

You could also check/verify the auto-recognize activity settings, under your device's settings.

Something changed on Saturday. My charge for does not recognize activiites and will not allow me to add activities manually.  I feel like  some change has been made and no one is telling the users.

I logged in this evening and my dashboard delete the tiles for heart rate, activity, stress and sleep.

@Tt2530  There were some recent issues with the Fitbit servers, which had done that, but that was last week. Can you re-add the tiles to the app dashboard?

I would try restarting the Charge 4, to see if that helps, and then let us know.

I restarted the app and everything came back. But now my exercise activity is not picking up automatically. No matter what I do

@Tt2530 I would check your auto-recognize exercise settings. I have seen settings "just change", and with the way the servers have been, I wouldn't be surprised if you need to reset these settings.
