My charge 4 periodically crashes while I’m riding my bike. I have to put it in the charger for a second or two to get the display back. Its 2 1/2 years old - had it reached its useful life? IOS

The Charge 4's are old and the batteries are dying ... mine is still running "fine" but every time I take a shower now I put it on the charger.  It will stay charged but it need recharging virtually everyday.  Originally it was OK to let the charge go low but now the battery is old it work much better if I keep it at least 70% charged.

I've looked at all the current "replacement" designs and they all look physically miserable so I'm trying to keep my Charge 4 working.😀

Hi there, @BR23. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 4 before reaching out.

To better assist you, may I know if this issue is happening only when you ride a bike? I assume you're using GPS right? Have you tried another GPS activity to see if your Charge 4 crashes too?

It seems to only happen riding my bike, not other gps activities. The hourly notifications to move don’t happen either.
