I don’t sync super often, maybe once a day or even every second or third day sometimes. My Charge 4 died last night so I put it on the charger and when I remembered to put it back on this evening and I just went to sync for the first time in a few days and the progress bar just stops about halfway, and sits on the “sync is taking a while” message. I’ve tried exiting the app and starting again, but the same thing happens. Anyone experience this? Is my Fitbit bricked?

me too. I have had the exact same problem... I'm using iPhone X and IOS 16. since I left the charge 4 alone for a week or two, it now fails to tell the right time, update, sync etc. I've tried all the suggestions restarting I even, tried to set a new device, but it just gets stuck at 'syncing' or now even recognising the 100% charged device. grrrrr... its not very old.

Its the last update on android and ios. Known for 4 months (beta releases). Fitbit doesnt care or has incompetent dev ppl.

Mine still isn’t synced. It can’t get past the ‘sync is taking a while’ status bar.

My Charge 4 connected and synced with my Windows 10 laptop every day for over 2 years (Dec 2020 thru Jan 29, 2023). It was taking longer and longer to sync in January 2023 and then stopped syncing on January 30th. I called Fitbit for help. The agent's accent was so pronounced; I had a difficult time trying to understand her, but what I did hear her say was Charge 4 does not work with a laptop, only with a smartphone. I asked when did that go into effect. She said over a year ago. I told her my Charge 4 has connected and synced with my laptop once a day, every day for over 2 years until yesterday morning. She repeated it does not work with a laptop. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, she again repeated it does not work with a laptop. I ended that call and called again. I was able to understand the second agent better, but she, too, said the Charge 4 does not work with a laptop. When I told her mine did until yesterday, she took my email address and said someone would contact me. Nearly 24 hours later and no one from Fitbit has emailed me. I was a fan of my Charge 4 but this is Not Good, Fitbit. And your agents were no help. Do something about this.
