Charge 4 not syncing

Having the same issues. Wondering if it has to do with “scheduled obsolescence”. I’m pretty unhappy with Fitbit for sending me an offer for a new watch + 6 months of free premium… later on the same day that my annual premium membership auto-renewed and can’t be refunded. Not sure why the offer didn’t come to me in the days before auto-renewal.  And since then, I’m having all sorts of issues with my 2-yr old watch. Won’t charge half the time, now not updating the stats. Seriously, will be the last Fitbit I ever get at this rate.

My Charge 4 is a little more than a year old. I have noticed an occasional problem with charging it. I have been able to gently clean dirt away from the charger connection on the Fitpoint to get it to charge again. Also I have been getting some quirky sleep log data that I have to go and delete or manually correct. Yeah, iagree. I don't think I will get another Fitbit. They seem to last only about 2 years and then kaput. I really don't want to buy a new (and different) fitness tracker right now with the way things cost now. Hoping this is only an app issue and Google is fixing it.  (hopefully).

Having similar problems. My Charge 4 suddenly stopped syncing after c.20 months. I have deleted and reinstalled the app on my iphone 3 times and tried to add the charge 4. I get the same error message - "download the fitbit app or update it". Any ideas????

Also having issues with syncing, sleep data, and poor charging. I believe this is planned, given all the new advertisements!

My watch is also two years old, but doesn't sync. Inhave unpaired, deleted the app and reinstalled it many times but it just doesn't want to sync. I have then scheduled a reminder to log in daily to force a sync but even that has stopped working. Since 2 November my watch has become redundant. Will never purchase a fitbit again.

As an update - yesterday for no apparent reason, my charge 4 decided to sync with the app and uploaded a week's worth of data. Problem solved you may think, except as of this morning it will not record any steps or activity etc. It will upload data, but no data to upload!! I give up...
