Charge 4 not tracking same distance as strava

My charge 4 is not calculating my ride correctly my strava is reading 3.5 miles and my fitbit is reading 2.9 and then 1.9 on the same 3.5 ride  I commute each day 3.5 miles and have just bought a charge 4 its recording less miles than the strava

When this has happened to me was due to losing GPS mid ride and getting it back later in the ride, this would just show as a straight line which is a shorter distance than what was ridden.
