Charge 4: Tried the reset as described in the Help section. No effect. Tried pressing button repeatedly. No effect. Tried pressing and holding the button for about 10 seconds. No effect on screen. Still nothing displayed. The device is working because I get all my statistics on my phone and online.

I'm having the same problem. No haptic feedback when pressing button, screen is not responding at all. In the fitbit app I can see my steps and heart rate, and it indicates the battery is fully charged and firmware is up to date.
Is my device defective?

I was having the same issue, nothing on screen, no response to pressing the button. Stats were updating and showing on the app and the fitbit was recharging, although the app showed charge as only 7% crossed out and didn't change.
Found a link suggesting how to reset - attach phone to charger, then hold button for 8 seconds.
Didn't think it would work but it did 🙂 Screen back and no data lost.
