My charge4 screen has suddenly gone so dim that I can’t read it.
I have reset the device but no change?

Hi, @TinaBerks , it is possible that the brightness setting has changed on your Fitbit. You will probably need to go into a very dark room to fix this! In the dark room, from the clock face swipe left all the way until you come to the settings menu. Tap to open. The first item on the menu is screen brightness, so tap that to toggle from dim to auto to normal. I find normal is the most readable in all lights. Auto makes it too dim for me in many circumstances. Dim and auto use less battery than Normal, but I don’t think it is much.
I hope this helps. Welcome to the forums.

Hi there, @TinaBerks. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 4.
In addition to the steps provided by @Julia_G, I'd suggest checking if by any chance your Charge 4 has the sleep mode feature enabled. When the sleep mode setting is on:
Sleep mode doesn't automatically turn off unless you set a sleep mode schedule. To schedule sleep mode to automatically turn on during certain hours:
If the above doesn't describe your issue, try restarting your Charge 4 to see if that helps. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Fitbit Charge 4 and Charge 5 come with built-in GPS. Using this function drains the battery quite a bit. Switch built-in GPS on and the battery life comes down from 7 days to only 5 hours. Remember – if you forget to turn GPS off after exercising, it will eat up what's left of the battery life.

Will

mine was always dim, but progressively has gotten dimmer as it has gotten older. It is to the point where I can't read it except in the darkest of rooms...and no it is not in dim mode
