Charge 4 screen wake isn't working

The only way I can get the charge 4 to display is to push the button on the side. Seems to have started about 4 days ago or so.

What is your firmware version? Sleep mode is available from 1.82.46 onward.

Thanks for asking.  I called the Fitbit help line and actually got through right away.  He had me restart my new Charge 4 and then it worked.  All is good.

Push and hold the button for a couple seconds until the DND an Sleep options are displayed.  Make sure they are both grayed out.  That worked for me....That worked for me also.

My screen won't wake up either.  I've restarted my Fit bit 4, I have my sleep mode OFF, and the DND is also off.  Help please!

Good morning, I'm a novice at this but what I've had to do is uninstall the
Fitbit app, turn it off my other devices that are connected, and then let's
hope that will work. Other than that...that's all I can offer right now.

How did you fix it? My DND and Sleep Mode are inactive (greyed out) also, but my screen doesn't activate when I turn my wrist. Tapping it works intermittently (one minute it does and the next minute it doesn't), and the button always works.

I found the Screen Wake setting, and now the screen turns on when I turn my wrist. Go to Quick Settings (hold the button down a couple of seconds). You'll see DND and Sleep Mode. Make sure they are inactive (dimmed). Then swipe up to find the Screen Wake setting and turn it on.

I discovered I was not following ALL the instructions to fix it. Follow
exactly step by step. If you see a small dot above the icons, it means
there are more screens within that particular area. It is a setting. Once
you find it, it will work

I just bought a new charge 4 and cannot get the screen wake to function. DND and Sleep mode are in off position. Screen wake is enabled.  The only way to wake the screen is to push side button, tapping the screen also does nothing. Suggestions would be appreciated.

@kmbramble, thanks for joining this thread. You did a good job in checking the DND and sleep mode settings on your Charge 4. Because your the tracker is still not turning on when moving your arm, I'd recommend to turn off the Screen Wake. Then restart your tracker and turn back on the Screen Wake settings.

@PRiddle, thanks for your efforts working on your Charge 4 and I'm glad the steps posted in this thread helped you. Hope you can continue enjoying this experience!

Yesterday, Fitbit support suggested to make sure DND and Sleep mode are turned off, and for screen wake to be turned on - it is on when the item is lit and not grayed out - I had to press the screen to turn on screen wake.

@LouiseMarkey and @neevehadar, thanks for sharing that the screen wake isn't working on your Charge 4, and for the steps tried prior to posting. While you mentioned the Sleep Mode and DND were grayed out, may I know if the screen wake is turned on? Have you tried restarting your tracker while having it plugged into the charging cable as described here? These details will help me to further investigate on my end.
