I had a Charge 3 that almost 3 years to the day of using it, the screen suddenly faded and eventually disappeared. FitBit's solution was to get a new one. I very reluctantly got a Charge 4 and same thing has happened again. 3 years, almost to the day, the screen has faded, just waiting for it to die now.
This seems very suspicious to me. The exact same thing has happened to a family member's Charge 3, but they refused to buy another FitBit.
Looking through the forum, this is an extremely common "problem". These watches should be lasting more than 3 years. Some people's are lasting even less. What can we do about this? FitBit are well aware of the issue but dong nothing except directing people to "upgrade" i.e, buy a new product
