Charge 4 stopped syncing my sleep data

I have installed and deleted the app on 2 iOS devices and an android device. Restarted the watch. Steps sync, heartbeat sync, calories show.. everything syncing but sleep and health metrics. Since these are the reasons I have bought multiple Fitbit devices over the years I am frustrated. Up until January 26 everything worked. Any advice?

Hello there, @VPless. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 4 before reaching out. I understand how you must be feeling.

I recommend considering the following in order to get sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

Your advice does not help. Where do we find our sleep stats? There is no place I can find on the app to see them. This is the biggest reason I upgraded to Charge 4. Wish I had my 2 back. FB needs to fix this and give a good answer to this problem PLEASE.

You’re not alone. I have the same issue.  The other night it did give me hours slept, but said couldn’t give details.  Frustrating. As I too have done all you tried.  And personally, I have no interest in trying to remember to hit sleep tracking from the app

Painterfam,

Me either.I want it to work automatically. While mine has gone back to
showing sleep data I am considering moving to an Apple Watch.

On the app Home screen click edit (to the right of the word Today. Move sleep up higher so you can see it easier.on the app. Then just click on the sleep button to see your results

I have exactly the same problem and despite reaching out to Fitbit support multiple times to get this fixed there has still been no resolution. They keep giving me “canned” troubleshooting responses and I’ve done all of those things multiple times to no avail. I’m frustrated and disappointed and nowI have to consider moving to a different product after 10+ years with Fitbit

This answer is for someone who’s new to Fitbit. It does not address our issue of suddenly missing stats that we used to have on our devices which we’ve been using for years and know how to operate. It is a bug in your system or with your app and we really wish you would fix it instead of telling us that we’re not using the device properly.
