I will be in the middle of a walk and look at Charge 4 and it has stopped recording steps. If I hit the Charge 4 pretty hard with my finger, it will "wake up" and start recording again. So this means that have to quite frequently check the Charge 4 to make sure that it is still recording. There has to be a better way. And yes, I have reset it, but it will still do that same thing.

@pritchett4 , Nice to see you here. Thank you for restarting the Charge 4 .
Could you please confirm if after the display is on again, the Charge 4 does not count steps or just needs a bit to update the steps recorded until then?
Could you also confirm if you did the steps here to restart the Charge 4?
See you around.

Yes, I did the steps to start the Charge 4
This happened again yesterday went for walk and got up to 8600 steps, then it froze. I forgot to check it and had kept walking for another 10-15 minutes and looked at Fitibit Charge 4 and it was stuck on 8600 steps. "Tapped" it pretty hard with my finger and it "woke up." This was after a restart which doesn't seem to correct this issue at all.

@pritchett4 , Thank you for your reply and confirmation.
Are you wearing your Charge 4 outdoors or indoors when this happens?
Keep in mind that the operating temperature for the Charge 4 ist from 14° to 104° F/(-10° to 40° C).
See you around.

I wear it both places. It is well within the parameters of the Charge 4. As I mentioned, it starts off well and then just stops. It has nothing to do with temperatures. Do you think it is defective then since there don't seem to be helpful answers? Thanks
