Hi @Biker1702  the warranty is one year in the US and 2 years in some European countries. You'll want to get with support.

when there is someone available, chat is an option. Phone or Twitter works well, too.

The strap to watch connector is absolute rubbish, as is the Fitbit "support" !  They are designed to break after a year.

I have purchased two Fitbits both had the same problem.  I will not buy another and will obviously advise others not to buy Fitbits either.

@ChiefMick  if your Charge 4 still works, why not do as others have done. Go to Amazon and search for "protective cover band" for the band completely encompasses the pebble portion of the Charge 4, so you can still wear it.

THANK yooooo, i have the same problem and superglued it once but hinge still coming apart.  Looks like the cover bands hold the electronic part all around.  Def going this route, do you have any recommendations which brand ?  Very happy to find this, gotta say I am hooked on this fitbit tracker.  Love it - bike swim weights r me

I also like the Fitbit but can’t deal with the ridiculous breaking strap
connection situation.
I’d suggest the Garmin Venu. Will do all you want with reliable, more
traditional strap connection.

@bikeswimlift  you might want to check the reviews on Amazon and pick one that suits you best. They do look to be a bit large, but it seems to do the trick for others.

My solution now is to warranty the whole product through Amazon UK.

The regulations in the UK (not sure about elsewhere) are that the first year warranty is with the shop you purchased from (not the manufacturer), therefore it is up to Amazon to replace/repair the strap, they are unwilling to do this.  So there is no other option available other than to return the product for a full refund.

My current Charge 4 was exchanged following the strap breaking on the last one in May 2022.

I expect if I go through Fitbit for a new strap it'll take about 14 days if I'm lucky, but if I return the old one for a refund and just buy a new one I will be back up and going by the weekend.

Fitbit know their straps are of questionable quality and rather than fix it they just fob customers off with a replacement strap, as long as they jump through hoops.  Their goal seems to be pass customers off with the bad straps until they reach the point where they are no longer warrantied and they buy either a new watch or start buying straps.

Thanks for the response !
Unfortunately after trying to work with/talk to Fitbit, I find them to be
completely uninterested in their customers situations and therefore not
worthy of my (or other customers) trust.
