Charge 4 thinks the button is constantly being pressed

Hi,

My Charge 4 has recently developed a problem where it thinks the side button is constantly being pressed. It keeps vibrating and rapidly switching between screen off, screen on and the DND/sleep menu usually reached by a long press. I've tried taking the device off my wrist and it still does this while sitting on the table untouched.

I attempted a hard reset by plugging the device into the charger and holding the side button for 8 seconds. This was very difficult with the side button issue, but after leaving the device plugged in for a few minutes untouched it eventually thought the button had been pressed long enough and reset itself, showing the smiley face on the screen. This did not fix the issue, even after hard resetting a number of times by itself while plugged in.

The device has worked without any issues up to this point. Can you please provide any advice on how to fix this issue.
