Charge 4 won't sync or pair

Hi, my charge 4 hasn't synced since the 17th February. I followed all normal 'help' instructions.

I unpaired from my phone's Bluetooth & Fitbit app. I force stopped the app.
I turn off the Bluetooth, then restarted my phone. I put the Bluetooth back on, paired to the phone and it still won't sync. I tried this multiple times without success. I have now uninstalled the app and downloaded it again from the playstore. This has now left my in a worse position because it won't now pair. I have followed the normal set up instructions, but when I get to the point you have to pair the devices by inputting the 4 digit pin code the charge 4 displays a notice saying to 'download / update the app'. But I have just downloaded the most recent version from the playstore! Again, I have followed done this multiple times without success. I have even checked for updates. Can you help with this?
