Charge HR Clasp Clip and Button Replacement

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I was fortunate  enough to have my previous Fitbit Charge HR replaced when the clasp clip and button broke while it was under warranty.  The replacement clip and button have now also broken, and there is no extension of warranty.  I have been offered a 25% discount on another Fitbit, but I am annoyed that a part I can buy from a third party isn't stocked by Fitbit itself, particularly when it's clear from postings that this is a common failing of the model.  Great customer support in many ways, but I'm not a fan of planned obsolescence!

Hello @MARDM

We a so sorry to hear about this. I really watch when I hook mine up and disconnect it due to it being so fragile.

Thank you for the sympathy!  I am careful too, though--and I am ashamed to see that I am no cross-country runner, but rather someone whose time is spent primarily at a desk!

"Planned obsolescence" ... I had forgot about that term... I had kind of hoped that disappeared back in the early 80's when the Japenese auto market came to NA and the "big 3" had to up their game to stay competitive

My wife purchased a Charge HR from a local Carpenter who didnt use it. BNIB, 3 months old. I wear mine for reasons other than fitness. I had a HA last year that came out of the blue, and now i like to monitor my heart rate for obvious reasons

Purchased in June, charging clasp with screen scrolling button started to fall offin Nov, completely off beginning of 2020, side broke this morning.

Now im seeing this is fairly common problem

Oh yeah, already beenoffered a discounton a new one as well... No thanks... Reading these posts.... I think imight have to seek out a competitors product
