Charge HR display not working

My Charge HR display was dim when I got out of the shower. (No, I didn't wear it in there) I still had 1/2 battery. Reset it, no help. Reinstalled the app, no help. It seems to be functioning normally and syncing, just no display now. What happened? How do I get it back?

 

Update: Last night in the pitch black I can see the display barely lit; however, it seems that it's just a blob of light. There are no numbers, letters,  or pictures. 😞
