Hello @Rome92 it's a pleasure to welcome you to the forums, @ACG it's always nice to see you around! Cat Wink

This sounds really odd, as a friendly reminder, you must complete all the requirements in order to setup or sync without any trouble:

  • The software on your mobile device is up to date.
  • The Bluetooth setting on your mobile device is on.
  • The Fitbit app is installed on a supported device.
  • Your mobile device isn't managing other Bluetooth connections.
  • If you use more than one Bluetooth phone, tablet, or computer to sync, the other one isn't nearby (or has Bluetooth disabled).
  • Your tracker's battery isn't critically low.

My suggestion is following these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app, uninstall it and restart your mobile device, then install it back.
  2. Toggle the Bluetooth from your mobile device.
  3. Restart the Charge HR following these steps.
  4. If you're not able to complete the setup, I'd recommend trying with a different mobile device or a computer.

@ACG thank you for the awesome information shared in this thread.

Hope this helps, I'll be around!

I have tried setting up my Charge HR on my phone, tablet, and laptop without success. I have deleted and reinstalled apps, restarted my fitbit, and have moved away from my other fitbit devices. What are my options?

Not sure if  this is helpful, but this was my experience with my latest Charge HR. I am using Fitbit Connect on Windows 7. I could not get it to setup. Support suggested uninstalling and reinstalling Fitbit Connect. That did not work. I must have tried eight times. Then I tried uninstalling the current Fitbit Connect and installing an older version. To my surprise, I got to the screen that showed the devices (never got past the point where it said it was updating my information on earlier attempts). Sadly, did not have the Fitbit handy!

Next time I tried (same version on Connect) it would not setup again. I tried reinstalling again, did not work. Reinstalled the newest Connect again, did not help. Decided to just randomly try running the Connect setup. About twelve attempts (over about a week) and for some reason setup worked!

I also tried scouring my machine and looking for Fitbit cookies and other folders left over from uninstalling the Connect app and deleted anything I found. But I am not sure if that mattered or not. Seemed more like I caught their server when it was in the mood to work.

Anyway, once I got it setup, I have had no problems syncing and I can use the new HR pretty much like the old one.
