Charge not syncing after 1 day

Got a Fitbit Charge 2 for Christmas and it worked for a whole 1 day. Went for a 10 mile walk on Boxing Day and when i came back, the thing wouldn't sync any more. Stopped at 11.14 am and hasn't worked since. A quick search around the internet reveals that this is a common problem with Andriod, and something Fitbit have never resolved, which is not good enough for a company that are supposed to be the first word in fitness trackers. It's going back and i'm getting a Garmin.

First and definitely the last Fitbit product i will ever own.

A Charge 2? That is old tech. Why not the Charge 3?

I think their attention to detail is getting worse and definitely their customer service. Taking for granted their loyal customers

Yes, of course i set it up, and it worked fine for 1 day. Some of my stats have actually appeared this morning on my phone app, problem being that they are yesterdays stat's and they are listed as today's. Nothing has come through onto the PC at all. Both my PC and my phone app are saying the last sync was Boxing Day at 11.14 am, and if i try to set a sync going, the symbol thingy goes round and round and round forever.

In answer to an earlier comment, saying it is old technology. Well, the decision to buy a charge 2 wasn't mine as it was a gift, and i can't see what difference that should make anyway. They are being sold in shops, and they are not fit for purpose. It's simply not good enough for a company who have such a well known brand. No mention in their ads that they may not work with some phones, or that there are well known problems connecting to Android. I have since found that there is a list of compatible phones and mine is on it, but i find it staggering that they have a list at all. It should work seamlessly with any smart phone, or what is the point of the product?

Fitbit is supposed to be a premier brand. As it stands, this is just an expensive digital watch.

For what it is worth, we have owned 5 Fitbits and they have all worked fine. Good luck.

If you have problems with the Charge 2 why would anyone buy the Charge 3. I sure have no plans to buy one since the 2 won’t sync.

I had that problem once after nearly 1 year of usage. I removed the charge 2 from my phone's Bluetooth and re-added it. It worked.

Hello @stefcon1, welcome to the Community forums.

I'm sorry to see that you've experienced trouble with your Charge 2 not syncing after a day of use. Could you please confirm if you've been experiencing other problems besides the difficulty to sync data? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far as well?

In the meantime, please make sure to try a restart and exhaust all troubleshooting steps available in this article. They have been useful to other users. You can also try the steps @mollymia mentioned earlier to remove the Charge 2 from your phone's Bluetooth settings and then re adding it.

Make sure to confirm if compatibility of your mobile device as well.

Thank you for all your comments and feedback @stefcon1@MarkDee56@SimoneR@Charge-2@mollymia@Mahesh70. This is very helpful to continue improving the quality of products and services.

I hope this helps.
