Charge2 Sync Issue - IOS Solution

Last successful Charge 2 sync to my iPhone 8 Plus during last night.
I have my trusty old Charge 2 which I wear to work. 

Have had various issues with Fitbit and this could have been the last straw!

 

In order to sync I tried various things.   

Unpairing from Bluetooth - doesn’t work as you can’t re-pair!

In Settings for Fitbit and turning off Bluetooth, Motion & Fitness, Background App Refresh and Mobile Data - turning on again doesn’t work as although it does say it’s connected it doesn’t sync.

 

IOS Solution (you will need an iPad that still updates) This will make sure you don’t lose your settings, data or any food you have entered into your food log.

 

* Install Fitbit App on your IPad.

* Sign In and Pair your devices with Bluetooth (in my case it’s my Charge 2 & Charge 4).

* Make sure everything looks like your IPhone Fitbit Set up, before Fitbit started tinkering with the App and the sync option (blue type) has reappeared on your Charge 2 setting within the App, so you can sync.

* Delete the Fitbit App from your IPhone.

* Reinstall the App on your IPhone.

* Before signing back in to the IPhone Fitbit App, switch off your IPad so that the devices don’t conflict with each other when pairing.

* Sign into the Fitbit App on your IPhone and pair devices to Bluetooth again when requested.


Everything should now be working again!
