Fitbit Charge 2 had 12000 steps last night when I went to bed and had 13000 steps when I got up this morning. The history from last night/this morning does not show I moved 13000 steps but the total does. Seemed to have kept steps from the day before. Tried resetting twice to see if that was the issue but did not fix it. Only had this since Christmas. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi there! I’m having the same issue this morning—I went to bed about 11 last night and about 11,200 or so steps logged. This morning my Charge 2 says 11,362 steps logged and that I’ve burned over 3,000 calories. Assuming my problem is the same as in this thread, will it reset today’s stats to what it would have been if my Charge 2 were behaving normally, or will today’s data still be higher than it actually was?

Never mind—it’s back to normal! It still thinks the previous day’s stats were ridiculously high, but at least it resolved itself...

My Charge2 did the same thing. It is daylight saving time and at midnight my steps did not reset. I have had this device about a week and this is the second time it has messed up. The first instance, it failed to sync with the app. I am not very impressed with this device so far. I hope it’s preformance improves.

We had the time change on Sunday. I had a little over 14k steps on Sunday. Monday morning I woke up and I noticed my steps didn't start over. Tuesday morning I woke up and my steps had reset but Monday it's showing a total of my Sundays steps plus my Monday steps. I have reset my fitbit charge 2, I have turned my phone off, I have deleted the app and downloaded again. Is there any way for this to be fixed as its showing 39k steps for Monday and it should only be at 25k or so? Thank you.

@johnny55 I'm not sure what you mean by fix without losing history.
Your history is on your Fitbit account, today is tyetonly day affected.
So what can you do about lastight not resting? As mentioned above - not much.
There are steps mentioned above that can be taken to help to make siresthe tracker resets tonight.
Where you traveling across a timezone around midnight?

Exactly same thing happened to me yesterday, did everything to reset my Fitbit charge 2. I have steps/calories/stairs/miles from Tuesday and Wednesday together. Somehow it didn't reset reset during the day, luckily by midnight was back to normal
again. But still my Wednesday infos are not correct 😞

About two weeks ago, my Charge 2 stopped resetting my steps at midnight. I never left home, changed timezone, or broke with my regular routine. I tried checking each morning to see if the steps were back to zero, but they simply added the previous days steps to the total. I tried turning the Charge 2 on and off 3 to 5 times. I update the Fitbit app on my phone, Forced stopped it, turned off the BT, turned off the phone and the Fitbit and started everything is backup and it still says I walked 27,525 steps yesterday.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how to reset the steps to zero.

My Fitbit Charge 2 does this every Wednesday. This began aboit 2 months ago and it has sorted itself. Every Wednesday my step count is on the 1000s.
