Charge3 Fitbit shows incorrectly challenge steps

I’m baffled that my charge 3 does not correctly reflect steps in challenges.   
1) overall tracking appears correct

2) steps in challenges are in consistent.  I am part of two workweek challenges.   One challenge correctly reflects 25,188 steps while the other challenge reflects only 18,671 steps.   I resyncd and the counts did not change.  
3) my GPS and fitness trackers are off

very strange and frustrating as I’ve had this tracker for 3 weeks and have had the issue each week with the one challenge seeming to track and then not track with me not changing anything and the other challenge working just fine

fitbit, please look into the bug and get it fixed as I don’t see the point in continuing to use if it is so unreliable

You are not manually adding activity, or letting a third party app log your steps?

No.  I am not manually logging steps or using third party app.  Both of my challenges are automatically updating..one correctly, one not.

I’ve been having the same issue, this week over 20,000 steps were logged on my tracker, but not included in my challenges 

 on other weeks, it’s not been that many but it’s definitely incorrect
