I have had a Charge 3 since getting it last Christmas about 10 months ago and it's always had a little difficulty syncing, but in the last 2 weeks or so it's become quite ridiculous. Usually I might have to manually tell it to sync a couple times before it would work, but now I sometimes have to keep forcing it to try for nearly 20 minutes and on top of that the time gets out of sync very quickly after I do manage to sync it - in 2 hours after the last sync it's already 5 min behind and just keeps getting worse unless I can sync it.
I use this with My Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy Tab2, and my Windows 10 laptop depending on the location\situation and never had such consistent problems or the issue with the time until a few weeks ago. I've done the standard troubleshooting of 'soft' and 'hard' resetting the fitbit as well as unpairing and re-pairing the Charge 3 and uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but to no avail. While I can usually get it to sync with a great deal of persistence, the time still quickly drops out of sync - besides, it shouldn't take 20 minutes of tapping the sync button before it works anyways.
Until the recent issue I really have enjoyed this fitbit, but if the issue can't be resolved I would like to seek a replacement or refund please.

Hi @Acbolt Try all the suggestions in THIS Help Article on syncing problems. When i was using an S7 I always found it a little 'buggy' even though it is a supported device. I also use a Tab 2 and that is not on the Supported Devices List though it usually works, but often takes a while to sync. When I had syncing problems with my S7 I always managed to resolve it by removing all other bluetooth devices from range of the phone and tracker (I usually took my tracker and phone down the driveway) and unpairing my tracker from my phone, turning off bluetooth on the phone and restarting the phone, restart the tracker, turn bluetooth back on in the phone and trying to sync. So give that a try and hopefully it will get you going again. The Tab 2 sometimes syncs and sometimes doesnt (still), but I now have an S8 and that syncs really well with my fitbits.

That is the help article I first followed when syncing became more difficult and I have already completed those troubleshooting steps unfortunately. I did try isolating my phone so the fitbit is the only Bluetooth device in the area and it did indeed sync better with my phone, thank you; however, that wasn't my main concern anyways. Even with the easier sync my Charge 3 fitbit is still not keeping proper time; within an hour it was a few minutes off, and now several hours later it's nearly 20 minutes behind the proper time. Is there something physically failing in the device required for it to keep time without being synced constantly every minute of the day or could this be a fixable software issue?

I agree that is a lot of time to be losing so quickly. I think you need to contact Support and see if they can help you.
