Connected GPS losing sync

Galaxy S8

Any thoughts on what can be done to prevent the GPS disconnecting during a run? The only way i can get it to stay connected is to turn on another GPS app. Annoying as starts fine then goes off after 5-10 mins everytime.

Charge 2 syncs for everything else.

All day sync and always connected are on.

I have been through the recommendations and restarted and repaired etc.

Is there a phone setting preventing the fitbit app runnning in the background?

Thanks

@Dk771, it's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your GPS data reception. I suggest you refresh the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Also check that the Fitbit app isn't on any battery saver app list as this could affect the use of the GPS while recording your activities.

Let me know how it goes.
