Cracked screen

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This time last year my Fitbit crack from top to bottom down one side. I realised at the time that it had also happened to 2 of my friends. My watch was replaced which I was very pleased with. But just under a year the same thing has happen again! Is this a common fault? I dobt expect to have to replace my watch every year!

Can it be replaced again?

Cracked screens are not covered under the warranty, much like cracked phone screens are usually not covered. You were fortunate to receive a replacement. No, it is not common but it happens. The screen is plastic and a crack can happen for many reasons.

Today I had the same problem. My screen cracked suddenly from inside out. Started in the middle, two lines up to the corners, 1 down to the middle. Strange it can happen suddenly and without any activity from outside. Hope they can replace it. 14 months lifetime is not long.

This seems to happen to a lot of fitbits! 2 of my friends have had it
happened to them and twice to me all of these watches were about a year
old. It is a sports watch so should be able to with stand a lot of activity.
With neither did I hit it against anything accidentally.
I will not be purchasing another k oeing that I won't get longer than a
year out of it.

I had a response saying that this is not a common fault and I shouldn't
have recieved a replacement last time as the screen is not covered under
warranty.
Strange though how this has happen twice to me and to 2 of my friends all
within about a year. Not good for a sports watch at that price either.
Good luck to yourself.

got a message that my fitbit is out of warranty.. So I don't get a replacement. I did receive a URL for buying one with discount. I am not sure if I will do it. I think it is a lot of money for something you can't enjoy for a longer time..

Guess what?  I am on my 3rd replacement for the exact same reason - cracked screen - luckily they have still been under warranty each time, but no way would I take a voucher and add more money to it for another Fitbit - this is rubbish design for ame problem to keep happening.  Very disappointed
