Well after one year and three months my battery is dead. It never held the advertized charge of 4-5 days it was 2 at best.
Must say that the relationship with my Fitbit has been overall disappointing. I was one of the early adopters of the Charge HR and it came with faulty firmware that was not updated for months even though I tried to get Fitbit to update it. Second are the constant rash issues that quickly arise with wichever hand that I put it on. Now finally a dead batter not long after a year.
Good thing my company is paying for me to buy an Apple Watch to track my health. I wish that Fitbit was more attentive to its customer base. One more customer here to testify on their poor experience.

It's great to see you around @WarEagle. About the battery, I recommend following these steps to Maximize your tracker's battery life. Are you still having problems with the firmware update? If you do, you can Restart your tracker and try this procedure from a Computer. About the rash you have, you might want to make sure that your wristband doesn't feel too tight and that it's snuggled enough for it to be comfortable to wear. Not too tight but not too floppy.
However, I recommend taking it off and read our Wear and Care article, I also suggest to reach out our Support Team directly. I am sure they will go above and beyond to take care of this for you.
Let me know the outcome.

Hi, same issue, but I've only had it for 9 months. I've tried everything mentioned here -- cleaning the contacts, plugging it into different ports, even moved it from the computer to the wall -- but I get nothing. No lights, no battery indication, nothing. (And the ports on the computer work for everything else). I tried to reset (held the button down for more than 20 seconds) nothing. Do i need to buy a new charging cord? Or do I just give up? Thanks.

@chubbymaria Welcome to our Community! If you have the change then try using a different charging cable (maybe a friend or relative can lend you one). Still I suggest you contact our Support Team for further assistance. I am sure they will try to find a solution to this situation.

A 15 MONTH THROW-AWAY
After one year and 3 months, my Charge HR has completely died. I have tried all the diagnostic, cleaning, re-charging and re-starting tips from the community but it's completely unresponsive.
It is obviously out of warrantee, but I contacted Support to find our what service options I have to get a battery replacement or have it re-furbished. I was told that my only option is to purchase a new one.
Here's the kicker... I really enjoyed using the Charge HR, and just re-set it up with my new phone and was ready to set up new challenges. I even found the heart rate to be extremely accurate when I had a stress test and checked the Charge against my doctor's simultaneous readings. My tracker is in perfect physical condition- no problems with the band, no problems with rashesBut I am not happy with having to shell out at least $149 every year or so for a new one. I never expected to find that there is no service program in place for the tracker.
Even though I enjoyed using the Charge HR, at this point I will be looking at the competition and investing my $$ into a watch/tracker that is more sustainable.
I am very disappointed with the response that I received from Support regading my options.
