Different battery readings

I have a problem in that my App shows one reading for the battery level, the Dashboard another and when I sync to charge it is also different.  I decided to just charge ever 4 days just to be on the safe side.  I decreased my acticvity level a lot and the last time I synced the App said Medium, Dashboard empty and the Tracker was low.  I charged my Tracker and watch using the Dongle until the battery level went to high, at which time the tracker was 3/4.  About 15 miutes later the tracker had stopped scrolling so I left it in aout 10 more minutes and then put it on my wrist.  I do not get notifications about progress reports, badges and have not for months, have dealt with dozens of people, one a Level 2 rep and we could not find out as I had all the e mail adddress and I do get ads, and other e mails, but not the important one.

This morning I synced, my App was high, Dashboard medium.  I talked to someone who said I had 75% which I read as 3/4 full. and medium 1/2.  I wish they would put percentage as that would help a lot as mine shows medium for days and I assume it is about 50% to find out today it is 75%.

Any one else having these issues?

My FitBit has to be charged daily. The app and the computer have different battery levels.  Aslo, I can reach my goal acoording to my FitBit and the app, I sync the app and I haven't reached my goal.  I again reach my goal on the FitBit and the app takes me back to my previous steps.  The Cahrge HR has been very frustrating and the worst one I've owned.  The band is broken and I can no longer sync to the app, only the computer , when it decides I can.

I have pretty much given up as my case has been escalted or so they say for months now and I got my first one in August last year and it has been replaced 6 times.  They told me the last time they would let me know the findings, and all I was told was it was an issue on their side, this was in January this year.  It does not surprise me that the stock has performed so badly as the techs can't seem to solve issues and each time you call you speak to someone different who has something different to tell you. They are always hiring

@SunsetRunner It's great to see you in the Community! So sorry to hear about the battery issue you experienced with your Fitbit Charge HR. Since you mentioned that you have contacted our Support team and the case was escalated, I would like to know what was the outcome since I would like to follow up in case you need further assistance.

@KAWJ Thanks for joining us in this thread! In order to better assist you, I would like to know if this issue happened just once or more days. I'd also like to make sure that your phone has the most recent app version installed. If so, restart your tracker as advised in Alejandra's post. Finally, since you mentioned that your band is broken, is it physically broken? If so, my best advice is to contact our Support team so they can review your case and provide a solution for this.

If more questions arise in the meantime, let me know my friends! Smiley Happy

It has been escalated for as long as I can rememeber.  I have given up and charge every 4 days no matter what as the app, dashboard and tracker all have different readings and not willing to run out of life when most needed. I don't know which to believe

Hey @SunsetRunner, good to see you around!

I would also recommend making sure that you're syncing your tracker constantly. Make sure also that after you sync your tracker, if you see your dashboard on your computer, that you've refreshed the web page after syncing throuth your phone as that's the only way that all the information will be synced across platforms.

Let us know if you need more help with this!

I do all of that. Last night was very weird.  I synced as usual after 4 days as it says Medium on the DB and App, but can't be trusted.  I saw the App said Medium, but DB said empty and I have cut down my workouts a lot. I thought it was going to take a very long time to change and it took 50 minutes after I had one bar on the tracker.  Usually when Medium it takes 55 minutes so find this very confusing.

Hmmmm ok, I see @SunsetRunner. Now, just for an experiment. What if you try to rely only on what your phone app says?

Since your phone is the way you sync constantly, try to rely only on the information that you see on the app and keep an eye on your tracker to see if it matches your actual tracker battery life.

After you've tried this, let me know what the outcome was.

I can't as the App said Medium and the tracker was Empty so it is not a reliable source.

Got it @SunsetRunner. Then there's one more thing we can try.

Would you mind setting up your tracker as a new device?

For this, just go to the Account section on your app and look for the option that says "Set up a new device". Just follow the on-screen instructions and your tracker will be paired again. This should fix any communication error between your tracker and your app and then try it out for a few days and see if what you see on the app is what your tracker reflects.

I have a Fitbit Alta (not the HR). It has always been a little iffy as far as syncing, but recently it has been VERY difficult to sync. Now it is also reading different amounts of battery charge, e.g., 100% on device, but 20% on the Windows app on computer (I don't use a phone  for my Fitbit). I have repeatedly restarted the Fitbit, the computer, I have uninstalled & reinstalled the Alta, and followed all the advice found on  Fitbit's website. STILL having issues!!!
