Display Doesn't Come On

My screen doesn't come on at all. I only noticed about an hour ago and thought the battery was flat so I plugged it in to the charger. When I press the button it just vibrates but nothing shows on the screen. It sometimes gives me a smiley face but that's all.

Same here. When I am plug my Charge 4 to the charger - smiley face and... nothing. Watch is vibrating when I am pressing the button, but screen remains black. Restart options - 8 or 15 sec - are doing nothing.

This same thing has happened to me yesterday is when it started too.  On Thanksgiving!  I saw there was a firmware update, but I couldn't even update it even with the battery saying it was 62%.  I'm afraid the charger may be bad.  I was able to sync mine to my phone this morning and than it lost sync again... so I'm guessing it died, but it can't charge.... Can fitbit send a new charger?  I'm definitely following this issue.

Well, things went from bad to worse when the tracker completely died, but as it is still under warranty, the lovely folks at Fitbit are sending me a completely new Fitbit. 🙏

Go online to their Live Chat and tell them your problem. If you're still under warranty you should get a replacement. Reading all these comments with the Charge 4 makes me think it has a big problem. They are sending me a replacement, but it's a Charge 5!

I am having the same issue. Put it on charge, smiley face came on screen and then nothing. It’s just unresponsive with the black screen. I have tried resetting it. The app says it’s synced. 

Not sure what to do now? Help please!

The. Same here, my fitbit is less than 2. years old

You should contact Fitbit help or support chat.via their website. Explain the situation to them and they will tell you what to do. Good luck!

Hi Ceebeeone,

My first Charge 4 lasted about 5 months. Customer service did send me a 'refurbished' replacement, that worked great for 4-5 months then exactly the same, the charge4 face was blank, no reboot/restart worked.  I've repeated this cycle a few times now.  I don't know what to do. I like the product when its working but its been terribly unreliable for me.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'd recommend you follow these steps to restart your device.

 

Also you can try to change your clock face, if this fixes the issue, you can change it back to the original clock face. If you are using a third-party clock face, please switch to a Fitbit clock face and try the troubleshooting again.
