Display Screen not working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Recieved a Fitbit charge 2 as a present yesterday and woke up this morning and the screen was blank. At first was still vibrating when button was held now is showing no response at all. The green lights are still on. I had a little look on here before writing this and saw I had to restart it, tired that but screen still blank, not showing battery or Fitbit logo. Any ideas?

*Edit: Has now started vibrating again when button is held.

Nice to see you here @Lizziebeech00. This is odd. Have you completed the setup process for your tracker? If you have then make sure that it is fully charged by plugging it to the charging cable for about 2 hours. After this try restarting it again but do this three times in a row:

Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.

If the display is still not working then please either check with the store to get a replacement or contact our Support Team for further assistance as I am sure they will work with you to find a solution.

I have the exact same problem.....display won't turn on.....can feel buzzing when pushing the button.....all attempts at re-starting fail.  Is there a solution yet?

@bkurfam It's nice to have you on board!

Glad to hear that both of you got your tracker's replaced. Hopefully you are back on track now and enjoying your Charge 2 trackers.

I had the same problem a couple of days ago. First a messed up screen and then in the middle of the night vibrating and finally it went dead after the battery was drained.I have tried recharging the watch on both a computer and a wall outlet but it vibrates the whole time and when I do a reset......nothing. I have had the watch for 18 months and decided to call support today, really no help, simply told me that I'm out of the warranty period and the sent me a coupon for a 25% discount on the purchase of a new Fitbit. Now I'm wondering if buying an Apple watch might not be a better idea ! I would appreciate help with this problem if possible

@stevewilly, a warm welcome to our Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your inquiry. Since you already contacted our Support team then they have already provided troubleshooting steps and then checked the warranty. If this didn't work then there isn't much that can be done as the screen isn't replaceable. Support does follow the guidelines listed in the warranty so if your device is outside the warranty period they won't be able to replace it. This is why they offer a discount to help customers in this situation. Still thank you for sharing your feedback.
