Display cracked and distance accuracy

I woke up yesterday with a crack right down the middle of my fit bit.  I also walked a six mile marked walk yesterday and my fit bit only marked it as 5 miles!  I have only had my fit bit since Christmas 2018. We were just going to buy a fit bit for my husband but now I am afraid to put money into something that will not last over a year!  Is any of this fixable?

Hello @Kristen88 welcome aboard, let me give you a hand with your Charge 2 difficulties.

Let me share with you that Fitbit devices calculate distance by multiplying your walking steps by your walking stride length and multiplying your running steps by your running stride length. We estimate your stride lengths using your height and sex. If you prefer to measure your walking and running stride lengths yourself and enter them manually, see How do I measure and adjust my stride length?

Thank you, I did adjust my stride length and it worked perfectly.
