My Charge 2 ran out of charge last night. I placed it on the charger and got the familiar vibration and battery symbol on the screen. I took it off the charger this morning and it won't work. The green lights are flashing on the back but the screen won't come on. I tried connecting it back to the charger but now I get nothing; no vibration, no screen symbols.
I have checked the app on my phone and it says that it synced with my device at around 7 am and was fully charged, but now it can't even locate the device.
I have tried resetting several times in accordance with the steps described in other posts, holding down the button for anything from 10 seconds right through to 2 minutes. Absolutely nothing.
From the other posts I’ve seen it looks like FitBit has some pretty common known faults with these devices. For the price that we pay for them it is ridiculous that they die so quickly. I’d suggest people start looking into warranty for these things because it is laughable that Fitbit washes their hands of any problems after only a 12 month manufacturer's warranty. The failure rate on these devices seems appalling.
