Display not working

My 6 month old Charge 2 is unresponsive.  I assumed that the battery is flat andconnected it to the charger, no display and no vibration,  Cleaned contacts, no change.  Tried another charging cable and usb socket, no change, Tried pressing the button nothing happened,  The two green lights on the back are flashing but everything else is dead.  What should I do to bring it back to life?

Hi @DonnaWolfy thanks for bringing this to my attention, welcome to the Community Forums!

I appreciate all the information and details that were shared in your post, thanks for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting. Since the heart rate sensors of your Charge 2 are still flashing, this means that is the display that's not working as the way we designed it. That said, if you haven't already done so, please follow the next troubleshooting steps to complete a restart process:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • For Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Keep me posted, I'll be looking for your reply.

I've tried to do what you say both connecting to a USB port and also to a mans power charger and with neither of them does the tracker vibrate.  I've also tried another charger cable with no success and to make sure I;ve used that cable to connect to another Chafrge 2 successfully.  Also ckeaned the contacts on the Charge 2 but no success.

So I'm unable to get as far as restarting by holding in the button.

Any more suggestions?
