Exercise not recorded after iPhone iOS 13.1.3 update

My Charge 2 is no longer recording exercise. Today, I went for two brisk walks, with no pauses, one for about 32 minutes and the other for about 50. The Charge 2 recorded total steps and all other categories but not exercise. Exercise has been recorded regularly right up until today. Late yesterday, I updated my iPhone to iOS 13.1.3. I see that Fitbit has alerted users to a notification problem after the update. Could it also have caused exercise not to be recorded? (I record exercise automatically on my Fitbit, not manually).  My Fitbit app is up to date. So far, I have tried turning off bluetooth, shutting down the iPhone, resetting Fitbit, and turning bluetooth back on, to no avail.  Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

I'm also having this issue on my Samsung. Doesn't record exercise or sleep.

After one day of not recording exercise, my Fitbit Charge 2 is now recording exercise properly. I noticed that an update to the iPhone Fitbit app was installed late yesterday; perhaps that solved the issue.
