Hi @Dawn5, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and the details that were shared in your post, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if you experienced this issue before? Which activities are not being recorded? Are you using the SmartTrack feature or the exercise shortcuts to track the activity? Lastly, which mobile device are you using to sync your Charge 2? In the meantime I receive your answers, please try the following:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • For Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

I experienced this same issue on Tuesday & Wednesday last week (1/15 & 1/16).  I don’t use smarttrack or exercise shortcut, the Fitbit usually just recognizes my work out & automatically logs it & adds it to my days of exercise. Today I had to manually enter it during a run & elliptical workout. I have an IPhone 8. Thank you for reaching out, hope this issue gets resolved soon.

Your update is appreciated @Dawn5, sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for the details that were shared with me. Based on your reply, you're using the SmartTrack auto-recognition feature of your Charge 2. To learn more about this specific feature, I recommend you to check our help article: How do I track my activity with my Fitbit device?.There, you'll find details about how this feature works and what can be preventing your device to accurately track your exercise.

I'll be here if you need anything else.
