I cannot factory reset it, as it seems my fitbit is still connected to my deleted account. How do I fix this?

Unlike some other fitbit models, there is no factory reset option for the Charge 2. Why are you trying to do one?
If you are transferring the fitbit to another account then, when it connects, it will delete any data left on it.
If you are transferring the fitbit to someone else nearby then make sure you delete the connection to the fitbit in your phone's bluetooth settings as this could block connection to their phone.
