My charge 4 screen has slowly faded. Started at edges and now only lights up in the centre. I have restarted it changed the clock face and checked it isn’t on dim. It charges properly. It is pretty much like my first Fitbit with only a 5 dot screen as it still tracks my steps, but the screen is useless. My old charge 2 with a cracked screen is easier to read. This is the 4th style of Fitbit I have had in 9 years (5th watch as one was replaced) and the only one that hasn’t broken in a short time was the first one with only dots on the screen. Given the price I don’t feel I want to try another one as they last 2 years on average (just long enough to be out of water). This one’s screen was always dim, but the fading is so frustrating. I’ll try another brand instead.

I am now on my third Fitbit tracker……1 Charge 3 and 2 Charge 4s and the screen on my latest Charge 4 (just 17 months old) has stopped working and will not light up at all. I charged it up and got a ‘smiley face’ indicating it’s fully charged but the tracker will still not function. I tried a reset but it just vibrates for about 5 seconds and nothing further happens.
The plastic lugs that the wristband attaches to also failed a couple of months ago, so I was forced to glue it. The material used in manufacture is nothing short of pathetic. I guess you get what you pay for and I will never again buy the Fitbit products as they are prone to failure and in future will buy quality products like Garmin or Apple.
