My husband and I just logged our first 40,000+ steps run today. I got home and noticed that my FitBit Charge 3 said I had about 41,500 steps and my husband and I joked about how crazy that was (he has a Ionic and had a few more steps than mine had logged). Then I put my Charge 3 on the charger and check again and it lost 10,000 steps. So now I'm at about 32,000 steps. This happened before but I thought I was just going crazy and had misread the number on the fitbit. It syncs continuously with my phone so I don't think it was a syncing issue. I read other topics in this area but none seem to apply to me:
I don't have multiple devices connected to my phone or account (unless you count my Aria scale)
I don't manually log activities.
It is really frustrating to have steps taken away after such a long run. 😞
Thanks for any help!

So when I look at the run data from today, it says that the run contributed +39,929 steps out of 32,013 taken today. So the device obviously tracked the run correctly but then overall steps got reduced for some reason. 😞
