I have both the Charge 4 and Versa 4 and both are laughably innacurate. I'll wake up and have apparently walked 900 steps at night. I work at my desk for 8 hours except for trips to the kitchen and bathroom, and both trackers will say that I've done 3,000 steps. The calorie tracking is just as bad. Have I burned 1,500 calories in the 6 hours that I've been at work sitting at my desk? My Charge 4 would tell you I did. The only thing on either tracker that is even close to being accurate is the heart monitor, and even that has it's moments.
I have done EVERY suggestion from fitbit, other memembers, and my own research, and nothing works. Calibrating stride, resetting, etc., none have any effect on Fitbit's inaccuracy. I had a Versa 2 that I loved (except for the sensor dying not once but twice), and was very accurate. Fitbit's quality has taken a sharp downturn in the last few years, yet they charge the same, if not more for their product. I got an Apple watch in between my Versa 2 and the Charge 4 and Versa 4 that I have. I was hoping to go back to Fitbit, but sadly it is basically useless, so back to Apple I go 😞

Love my Charge 4. After over a year of usage, I have reached many personal fitness goals and my Fitbit deserves some credit for that. I was told by others that the calorie tracking was not to be trusted, but except for one day when my device "went rogue," I think the step count is accurate.

I'm glad you've had a good experience. I loved my Versa 2, it was very accurate. I've tried everything to get my Charge 4 and Versa 4 to be more accurate. But when I go to bed at exactly midnight, and wake up at 6am, and both of them say that I've burned hundreds of calories and steps, it defeats the purpose of the tracker. Also not super happy that the sensors always fail just outside of the warranty period. Have had that happen 3 times.

Hi I'm the same, Ive had my Fitbit 4 about 2 years now and thought it wasn't too bad.
I was bought a Garmin, and at the moment Im wearing both night and day. I regard the Garmin to be a more accurate record. The Fitbit will record steps even if Im on the motorbike, like 10 to 15 miles on a hundred mile trip.
Theres not much in resting heart rate, Fitbit is 3 or 4 beat's on the top side.
Sleep is quite different:
Fitbit 5hr 44mins 65 mins awake
Garmin 7hr 42mins 7 mins awake
Steps today: Fitbit 17,997
Garmin 16207
Hope this helps..

How is the Apple Watch? I’ve had a very similar experience to you. I’ve been using an Inspire 2 for the last 6 days (resetting, rebooting, all the troubleshooting, etc.) and not only is the step count wildly inaccurate, the heart rate is all over the shop, as is the sleep data, and it’s also very hit & miss with the app. I really don’t want to add any more apple devices to my life, and only want something that gives accurate bio data readings and functions smoothly, so if the watch works in that regard I’d certainly consider it - or other recommendations for something that actually does what Fitbit is meant to do.
