FitBit stopped tracking route before I manually stopped it.

I was doing a 5 to 6 mile route with my FitBit.  Started on Excercise Walk etc...  When I got to the end I stopped it  However when I looked at the TCX track it hadn't tracked the whole route it stopped tracking before the end  It also got the distance wrong when it stopped.  It said around 6 miles on the incomplete track.  Whereas the total walk was only just over 5 miles.  I have the track TCX and could sent it but no way of attaching it.
