Fitbit Charge 2 - Floor Count

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just replaced my old Charge 2 with a new Charge 2.  All my data and functionality moved over except for the problem with tracking my floors.  I have walked my house (3 levels) and commercial stairwells, and nothing is registering.  I am obviously going more than 10' (this changing my altitude sufficiently).

What am I not doing right?

Thanks,

Mitch

You shouldn't have to do anything for floor tracking to start working.

It tracks floors by measuring changes in air pressure via a small hole in the back of the fitbit. If this becomes blocked in any way then it can prevent floors from being recorded. It's worth checking this is clear using, say, an old toothbrush or a can of compressed air. Don't pock anything into the hole though as this could just make things worse.

If that's not the problem then I would suspect that your new fitbit is defective. Are you able to return it for a replacement?
