Battery charging are not lasting , complete charged battery drain out with in 3 minutes
Moderator edit: updated subject for clarity.
same here! it went from 100% to completely dead, no low battery icon or anything, in the time it took me to brush my teeth this morning. it only started happening after the firmware update. i have never had an issue with my fitbit before this
Best AnswerHave you updated to the newest firmware update? It seems to be causing a host of problems in Charge 2s ranging from battery issues to straight up bricking trackers.
Yep! It started doing this within one day of updating! Fitbit's attempt at using forced obsolescence to make us all buy new trackers is so obvious and so NOT okay. shopping around for other brands now. i am happily taking my business to another competitor unless fitbit can fix this quick
Snap!!
Updated when my app prompted me to, less than a week later my Charge 2 is only good as a paper weight 😪
It's only 15 months old and I'm very disappointed that it's died like this. Really looks like Fitbit has bricked a whole range to make people purchase a new one when you see how many of us are here saying their trackers have died since the firmware update!!
Best AnswerMine Dying made me look up the update, then I had to charge it to get the update, then figured that would fix it, so far same as everyone else. Last a handful of minutes then completely dead.

It´s nice to see you here @Debasis, @LordChris, @mimhoffman, @prolveg, @Pantsdancelol, and @Justo181. Welcome to the community. I´ll be glad to assist you with your Charge 2 battery inquiry.
Charge 2 battery life was designed to last up to 5 days, however, the battery life also depends on how frequently you use it’s features. Please follow the tips of Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life? help article.
I appreciate your feedback and comments.
Please let me know how it goes and keep on visiting the forums.
Best AnswerI have the same problem as everybody else. Not doing anything unusual with my Charge 2. Not using more or less, same with the app. My battery is not lasting a day and it use to be my routine to put it to charge every sunday (lasting 7 days!). Now it is several hours at top. Your article didn't help. We need to buy a new battery? Is it the new app? Began the moment I did the upgrade....not happy at all.
Best AnswerHi @AndreaFitbit my problem was found to be a faulty device and has been replaced under warranty 👍
Hope everyone else has some luck with their issues 🤞
Best AnswerBattery was full charged when I went to sleep and is empty when I just woke up...need a watch for work tomorrow and had other plans than buy a new one today. You must guest it won't be in the Fitbit family😡
Best AnswerSince the latest firmware update, my battery barely lasts 24 hours. When I spoke with Fitbit customer service, they basically told me, "Too bad. It's out of warranty. You can save 25% on a new tracker." NOT ACCEPTABLE.
