My Fitbit Charge 2 keeps on losing steps after syncing with sync solver. Any ideas why??

I am having the same problems.  It keeps my floors, miles, and active minutes, but loses my steps whenever it syncs. I have tried resetting the fitbit several times, I have unpaired it with my phone, deleted and reinstalled the app, and restarted the phone.  I have also deleted and readded the fitbit to my account several times.  I am very frustrated.
