Fitbit Charge 3 Not Working

I haven’t used my watch since the start of the year. However, I charged it recently thinking I could use it again and the screen was pitch black although the green light and vibrations were working! I tried to reset and change the watch face but it still remains black… what do I do?

My Charge 3 also was unresponsive. What finally worked was to delete the device in my account and reinstall it by selecting add new device. I also shut down and restarted my phone prior to that whole process.

Try a "Factory Reset" by performing these steps:

  • Attach the charging cable.
  • Press and hold the button for approximately three seconds ,and without letting go of the button:, remove the charging cable.
  • .Wait about ten more seconds after removing the charging cable.
  • Let go of the button and hold it down again
  • After "ALT" and a white screen flash, let go of the button and hold it down again.
  • .When you feel a vibration, let go of the button and hold it down again.
  • When you see "ERROR," let go of the button and hold it down again.

Hopefully your Charge III is good to go again.

which button do I hold down?

The button is related to that groove on the left side of the tracker when you have it on your wrist. The easiest way to get it to respond is to connect to the charger. When connected to power it should leave the left side button exposed.
