Fitbit Charge 3 dead after attempted update

I  attempted to do the most recent firmware update 2 days ago (which I think may have been interrupted mid-update). Since then my charge 3 screen is black and will not restart. I have attempted to restart it already by connecting to the charger and pressing on the side button for well over the required 8 seconds. It gives the initial haptic feedback to indicate its connected to the charger. Then It vibrates *constantly* while I hold down the button - - but it will not restart.

I have tried several times now to do the firmware update from my phone but it no longer detects my Fitbit device. Please help! The device was just over a year old so not under warrant but worked perfectly until I tried this update!

Unfortunately, you will likely be disappointed with the response from FitBit... but, if you go through their support chat, you will end up with a 35% discount for a Versa 2, Charge 4, or Inspire (no Versa 3 or Sense, sorry).  That is what FitBit's official stance has been now that you are out of warranty.  Even though it is clearly their own firmware update that has caused numerous issues for their users.  Best of luck in chatting with them.
