Fitbit Charge 3 dropping steps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The other day I reached 10,000 steps on my Fitbit charge 3.  The device was buzzing like crazy on my wrist.  With my medical problems, I was very excited to see that number of steps.  When I synced my device to Windows 10 computer, the steps that were recorded were 5,394.  This has happened repeatedly.   I have noticed a high number in mid afternoon and by evening the number is much lower.  I do not add anything manually.  I have tried just about everything I have seen on these chat boards.  I am ready to throw the device in the garbage.  Can anyone help?

Hello @fuusb Welcome to the community forums. Thank you for the information and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried prior to posting!

I'm very sorry about this situation. This is not an expected behavior and if you haven't done so, I would recommend performing a restart to your Charge 3 to refresh its performance. You can follow these steps to complete the restart.

Hope this helps!

Hi
I have tried this in the past and it seems to work for awhile. This is the
last time I will try. If it acts up again, I'm going to recycle it.
Thanks
