my charge 5 tracker counts false steps of 10K Steps on avg daily while riding motorbike/driving car. i tried using borrowed apple watch & fossil digital watch for few days to see if they have the same issue. clearly not one single false step was calculated on Apple & fossil. clearly Fitbit in not interested in sorting out this issue as this has been listed out by customers on discussion groups from the year 2017.
i love the fitbit data analytics features like the daily readiness score etc. but unfortunately the scores are calculated based on the # of steps, sleep etc and given the false steps data, it woudl be incorrect as well.
as of now, the only option available to to log in to the fitbit dashboard manually at the end of the day and setup the false data using a manual driving record.

Hi there @Suj1981, it's great to have you in the Community.
Thank you for sharing this information, I'm sure other users will benefit from it. I'd recommend you restart your device.
Fitbit devices use a 3-axis accelerometer to track movement. Our finely-tuned algorithm interprets the data from the accelerometer to provide a step count. When you sync your device, your step count appears in the Fitbit app.
They calculate distance based on the device’s accelerometer data and stride length setting. Default stride length is based on your height and gender. If available, Fitbit devices use GPS data to calculate more precise distances. When you sync your device, our algorithm interprets the data from the device, and you see the distance traveled in the Fitbit app.
