I’ve been dealing with the Fir Bir Agents for over a month to have a replacement sent out to me. Has anyone also has any issues?

Hi Matthew,

curious if you have any feedback or update on your warranty replacement.  Its 27 days for me and counting.  They've not been helpful.  Curious how things were in July 2020 vs May 2021

Hello everyone. @Agrios852 It's nice to see you around..

I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused and thank you for the detailed information. I was able to see that you have reached out to our Support Team and I noticed that they are currently working on your case. I truly appreciate your patience with this process since they should get back to you once they have more details.

See you around.

When my screen went black on my Charger 3 and I tried all the things offered on this board to no avail, I contacted Customer Support. I pointed out that many others reported black screens after an update was installed.  I was told that the black screen was not related to the upgrade and told best they could do was offer a discount on a new Fitbit rather than stand by the product they manufactured. No customer support at all and now I have a non-functioning device.

My charge 4 broke, the plastic part that snaps into the band fell off. It was less than a year old and I received the replacement today. They sent me the watch part, no band or charger so not sure if it was new. it wasn't sent from fitbit but from a company called I gram micro mobility. Weird.

My husband has been awaiting a replacement since 3/28/22. The standard line seems to be: our team is working on it and will contact you soon.

Same here.  I've been waiting 10 days now for them to sent me a return label.  No timeline, no explanation why this takes so long... Very disappointing Fitbit!!

I've wondered if it is new or a refurb they don't specify

The warranty is basically non-existent.  A refurbished watch is mailed, USPS, in a lightly padded envelope. After two refurbished non working watches, taking over a month to ship and correspond, they tell me that the warranty has now expired.

The first refurbished replacement did not work at all. It did not even turn on. After several calls, they emailed a return label, which I had to print out (don't have home printer), package, and return the non-working replacement. The tracking number for the return said it had arrived, but they could not find it.  Finally someone did and they sent out another replacement. Another refurbished, non working replacement arrived in a little over a week. It turned on, but died almost immediately due to low battery and it would not charge. Now they tell me that the warranty period is over. A 35% discount was offered, but at this point, it feels like an insult. And do I really want to keep replacing $300 watches every 10 or 11 months?

I had the same problem with Charge 3 some years ago just after the warranty ran out and the Fit Bit support was limited to offering to let me buy a replacement!  I have had no screen data or illumination for the past 3+ years.  Until today I was able to sync data to my phone via Bluetooth (although I could not see the settings on the watch (I use a Seiko on my other wrist to tell the time now) and read the fitbit data from the phone App screen.   Today it refuses to sync, although the app shows it is charged it is no longer recognised.  To set up the Charge 3 again I need the 4 digit code from the screen - but of course I cannot see that, so I am stuck.  The App no longer shows 'steps' and the steps tile tile seems to be missing (default measurement now seems to be Calories).  I have searched for answers on the fitbit site but none have proved successful as my app screen does not reflect the description provided in the moderator posts.  So if your Charge 3 remains linked to your phone/ipad app you are still able to see the data - this should see you through until you find a replacement - possibly not Fitbit.

A moderator might have some other means to sort this out but I live in hope.  Birthday in September - may be an Apple.

I had a replacement Charge 3 in December 2021, as my original stopped working.  The replacement has also now stopped working after 11 months!  I’ve been told that the original warranty stands - it didn’t start again with the replacement.  I’ve been offered a 35% discount on a new Fitbit - I can’t understand why they think I would consider buying another when they don’t last a year 😡😡. I asked the Chat agent to put me through to the Complaints department, but guess what? They don’t have one, which I’m not surprised at, as they would probably be inundated !!  I’m a very, very unhappy customer 😡

I've had multiple devices fail over the years. The warranty replacement has gotten worse as the company grew.

I've had two free replacements, and a 25% discount.  Been using Fitbit since June 2012.

Free Fitbit Ultra in 2013

Free Upgrade to replace Fitbit Ultra to Fitbit One in 2017

25% off discount to replace Fitbit Ultra to Fitbit Charge 3 in 2020

06/21/2012 - Fitbit Ultra? Wireless/Actvity/Sleep Trackng, Black (you clipped it on your pants/shorts pocket) $87
01/25/2013 - Stopped holding a charge (battery dying) - Fitbit sent me a replacement for free
08/18/2017 - Fitbit Ultra stopped charging
08/18/2017 - Free Replacement Offer for Fitbit One
07/04/2020 - 25% Discount on a new Fitbit, good for 30 days
07/09/2020 - Fitbit Charge 3 purchased $78
11/15/2021 - Band broke, replaced out of pocket

Minus the broken band in 2021, every issue I had was with the battery.  I believe I had another issue with the battery that resulted in a 2nd Fitbit One (I have two of them at home) but I can't find my documentation for it.  Likely was accidently deleted instead of archived. At least you got a 35% discount, I only had the 25%. But I use the cheaper device.

The older Fitbit Ultra and Fitbit One batteries would last longer than a week.  My current Fitbit Charge has never lasted a full week without charging it.  Battery technology should be getting better, not worse over time.  But if you keep packing in all those extras into something that doesn't need it, it won't get any better battery life. I liked the older design. Shove it in your pocket and forget about it. I'm the person that tends to destroy watches frequently, and am surprised the current one has lasted this long.
