Fitbit charge 3 smart wake not working

My charge 3 smart wake feature "wakes" me up 10 times! I have it set to.   7:45-8:15. It just "woke" me up whilst I'm writing this!

This happened to me too, yesterday and today. Pressing the button turns off the alarm, but it will just go off a few minutes later. Rinse and repeat for the next half hour.

 

It's also a stretch to call this alarm "smart". It goes off at times when according to my sleep log, I am already awake.

This morning the "smart wake" didn't go off at all,  so it's bugged AF

Most days, it goes off 5+ times, including after I'm clearly awake (500+ steps). I'm turning the feature off until a future software update

Yes this is a bug that occurs when you put the smart wake as a recurring alarm.

 

After you turn off the alarm, the alarm re-enables itself for ther next day, and so the alarm can go off again the same day.

 

I've been in contact with the Fitbit team but they were unable or unwilling to solve this issue, so I've also stopped using smart wake until they fix it.

 

Too bad because it's a neat feature if it would work...
