Having used Fitbit for as many years as they have been available I was thrilled when I upgraded to a Charge 3. Now the screen is dim and unreadable. I see on the forums that this is a known error? I go to Fitbit for help and am told "yes this is a problem we are aware of - HANG IN THERE and hopefully we will resolve it at some stage" - surely that is not the solution? I do not want to Hang in There!! Can anyone give me any advice?
Fitbit has been promising a fix "soon" for over 6 months now. I contacted customer service back in November but they refused to exchange my Dim, under warranty, Charge 3 saying is was a software issue that will be fixed "soon". I think Fitbit is just waiting people out and hoping they will just go away. I love Fitbit products but the company itself is horrible. It is no wonder that they needed Google to save them in the end. Super frustrating. The Charge 3 is probably my favorite Fitbit. I bought a Versa 2 for a great price a few months ago, but if the Dim problem was fixed, I would go back to my Charge 3 in a second. Good luck!
I really feel at present this is a brick wall - I have now spoken to several people who all say "I hear what you are saying" but then shrug their shoulders. I will keep making a fuss but I feel that it may be time to change to another company that looks after its customers a bit better than Fitbit does. Such a shame!
Until your warranty expires. If you are lucky, they will offer you 25% off on another device with the same problem.
