The problem is taking the watch on and off is a step that is easily forgotten and is annoying for those of us that get in and out of the car.
Also, if you delete the driving log it issues your steps back again.
It would be a better solution to not make driving an exercise

Best AnswerHi I don't think you a reading through properly before answering. Please look at @SunsetRunner 's reply on this thread. That is the problem most people on here are trying to explain. I have the same issue. My calendar under exercise will have ticks for everyday because I drove not because I exercised.
Also your solution to charge the device while driving is not always and option because I ride a motorbike and so I obviously have nowhere to put it on charge on while I'm riding
